As an example, we installed this system on a property that had internal concrete walls, very solid home, the outside perimiter wall was approximately 20m from the house, the intercom worked flawlessly, even in the back yard. there are no cheap wireless intercoms that I have seen that can perform like this system. It also allows you to open two gates if needed.
The handset is like a portable home phone that sits in a charger stand.
The Door station does require power, if you have a roller gate type entry that has power you can normally piggy back of that.
This Wireless intercom is pricey, but if you dont have cabling then this is a easier and cheaper option.
